Paola Loreto – Good Mo(u)rning, Italy
Hello, dear friends. There is a good piece of news for you: on 17th September, Radio B39 will transmit, at seven o’clock a.m. (HKT), my web-radio podcast «Good Mo(u)rning, Italy», during which I’ll interview Paola Loreto, an Italian lady professor currently teaching Anglo-American Literature at Milan University and contributing articles to several periodicals, including many American Studies journals and the world-famous monthly magazine «Poesia», which is devoted to poetry. And indeed she, besides being a translator and scholar known for her books concerning three skilful authors of texts in verse (namely Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost and Derek Walcott), is also a poetess who has various collections to her credit: the one entitled «Transiti» appeared in the Mondadori distinguished yearbook «Almanacco dello Specchio», while other two of them («L’acero rosso» and «La memoria del corpo») were printed by Crocetti Editore, a publisher which, in Italy, is very important in the field of poetry.
Well, now that I’ve told you the essentials about her life and major works, the moment has arrived for you to listen to my programme and “meet” Paola Loreto herself.
