Matthew Muller is an island-hopping nomad. This American teacher, entrepreneur and writer is based in Chengdu, China. And this will be his second visit to Sardinia, the first one being in 1996 while serving as a US Marine. Educated at the College of William and Mary and Yale University, his professional career includes at least four years’ experience each in the military, healthcare, and education industries.
He has been blogging at his Pathology of Wanderlust since 2002, a blog which was originally created to describe his bicycle journey from Washington D.C. to Seattle, Washington. But now it is just for rambling about life and literature. His CNF story “Refrains from Wasterfur Scarcity” can be found in Unsavory Elements: Stories of Foreigners on the Loose in China, and he is an editor and contributor for Mala: The Chengdu Bookworm Literary Journal. He is an MFA Fiction candidate at City University of Hong Kong.
